Collateral Damage

Collateral Damage is an Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle. Unfortunately it’s not a good one. In fact, I prefer to call this cinematic disaster Collateral Garbage. The acting, the script, the plausibility factor, even the explosions and the gratuitous violence are not worth your money, trust me.

But there are two redeeming figures in the movie that are worth your time. John Tutturro and John Leguziamo. While their scenes are short, those two actors bring their characters to life with sheer abundance and make watching the movie fun.

On the other hand, the camera work in this movie is so fast and furious that you can hardly see a thing. What’s going on in Hollywood these days, is this a new art form? Somebody stop them!!!!

I am also tired of people escaping unharmed unthinkable disasters and while the twist at the end got me, it’s nothing I would write home about. Pass on this one, folks. If you have an Arnie craving, rent Terminator or Kindergarden Cop, you’d be better off.
